You Got This!

You are the best parent for your baby. You are capable, strong, and your child's best advocate. You don't have to be all those things alone though--always ask those around you (or us!) for help when you need it.

You're Not Alone

If you need support or someone to help you navigate this new phase of your life, we are here for you! We can help you to:

  • Sign up for services like health insurance and WIC

  • Enroll your child in Early Head Start, childcare, pre-k, or kindergarten

  • Get an ID

  • Figure out housing and childcare vouchers

Getting support from those around you

You don't have to be in a romantic partnership in order to be happy or to parent effectively. Building a parenting village can help you achieve your goals and create a richer environment for raising your children.

There are many people in your life who can support your parenting journey including:

  • Your current or ex-partner

  • Your parents and other family members

  • Your friends

Above all, the first step to any co-parenting relationship is to take care of yourself. This may not seem like the obvious first step, but it really is the place to start. Whether you are stressed from parenting, worried about money, or upset about ending the relationship, it’s much easier to deal with everything when you feel like you have some control.
